About

Society–Religion–Philosophy–Politics–Science–Culture

Welcome to the Know Nothing! The best news choice for those of you who aren’t looking for the answers!

The official newspaper expressing the views of the modern American Know Nothing Party, The Know Nothing writes punchy satire and then feels bad nobody knows what we’re talking about.  Here at the Know Nothing, we take on Society, Religion, Philosophy, Politics, Science, and Culture from a moderately radical, radically moderate perspective. Oddly, the Ctrl-Left and the Alt-Right marry pretty well, made manifest in this partisan journalism paper of the Know Nothing Party! Join our cause!

The Know Nothing is a satirical news organization committed to bringing you good, honest sarcasm, which is a great American tradition, ya know.

For us, writing satire is all a matter of getting the truth, or something that looks like the truth, out there. Then we can take a deep breath… and sigh.

So, for an alternate view on many subjects, come on over to the Know Nothing, a site that will never overwhelm you with challenging facts, but instead, make you feel better than everybody else in the world!

A Statement from our Creator:

Hey, all!

I’m Clayton. So, I created the Know Nothing to imitate a partisan newspaper, obviously, and while it’s not really the satirical thing to take a step back from all the nonsense, since that’s the business, I’d like to say a few things about why I’m doing this.

It’s really become an effort to carve a niche in satirical news, imitating opinion websites that blend observations and facts, whether it be Salon or National Review.

I’m a journalist, and while I do make some noise on a few issues here and there myself, I’m fed up with the hyper-partisan, sensationalism that dominates our headlines. I guess the idea is that if it’s a post-truth kind of world, we’re all obliged to just listen to one, clearly-bent perspective.

I’ll make it as clearly ambiguous as possible: I’m an Independent. And being such, you can expect me to write (I think) scathing pieces on ideas from all sides. These views don’t necessarily represent my views, and you can be fairly doubtful that they do. It’s just what we do here, because I think the best possible political viewpoint marries common sense and idealism.
